  • 1 lb fresh asparagus washed, dried, and trimmed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp grated pecorino cheese optional, for serving
  • 1 lemon optional, for serving

Cooking

  • Wash and dry the asparagus, then trim the woody ends by cutting about 1 to 2 inches from the bottom.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees F.
  • Toss the asparagus in a large bowl with the olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  • Arrange the spears in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket once halfway, until tender and lightly browned. Thick spears may need up to 10 minutes.
  • Transfer to a plate, sprinkle with pecorino, and squeeze lemon over the top. Serve right away.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer to bring back some crispness. Nutrition is an estimate.
