Shrimp

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Coating

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Breading

  • cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup seasoned panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped divided for garnishing

Serving

  • Lemon wedges for serving

Preparation

  • Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels to help the coating stick better.
  • In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • In a separate shallow bowl, mix the Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, and half of the chopped parsley.
  • Press each shrimp into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it sticks well. Repeat until all the shrimp are coated.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for 3–5 minutes.
  • Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if necessary.
  • Air fry for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy. The shrimp should be pink and cooked through.
  • Garnish with the remaining parsley and serve with fresh lemon wedges for a zesty finish!

Notes

Make sure the shrimp are well-dried before adding seasoning. Press the breadcrumbs onto the shrimp firmly. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket, as this helps the shrimp cook evenly. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
