Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans trimmed
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • cooking spray or olive oil spray
  • ranch dressing, garlic aioli, or marinara for dipping

Instructions

Cooking

  • Rinse the green beans, trim the ends, and dry them very well.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Put the flour in one shallow bowl, the beaten eggs in a second, and the panko, Parmesan, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a third.
  • Toss a handful of beans in the flour, shake off the excess, dip in the egg, then roll in the crumb mixture, pressing gently. Set aside and repeat.
  • Lightly spray the basket. Arrange half of the beans in a single layer with space between them and spray the tops. Air fry for 5 to 7 minutes, shake or flip, then cook 3 to 5 minutes more, until golden and crisp.
  • Cook the second batch the same way and serve right away with a dip.

Notes

Nutrition values are an estimate per serving, without dip. Dry the beans well and do not crowd the basket. Leftovers keep in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days and can be re-crisped in the air fryer at 350°F.
