Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef 90/10 or 85/15
  • ⅓ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup yellow onion very finely minced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

Cooking

  • Stir the panko and milk together in a large bowl and let sit 5 minutes.
  • Add the egg, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper and mix with a fork. Add the beef and mix gently until just combined. Roll into about 16 meatballs.
  • Heat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease the basket. Arrange the meatballs in a single layer with space between them, in batches.
  • Cook 10 to 12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway, until browned and the center reaches 160°F (71°C).
  • Rest for a few minutes and serve.

Notes

Makes about 16 meatballs; a serving is 4 meatballs. Nutrition values are an estimate per serving. Use 90/10 or 85/15 beef; extra-lean beef tends to be dry. Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze cooked meatballs for up to 3 months.
