Amazing Easy Fried Rice

Main ingredients

  • 4 cups Cooked White Rice (Leftover, chilled) Use cold, leftover rice for the best texture.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter For richness.
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil For cooking.
  • 1 cup Carrots (Finely chopped)
  • 1 cup Onions (Diced)
  • 1 cup Frozen Peas
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 2 large Eggs (Beaten)
  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce For flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil For aroma.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste.
  • ½ teaspoon Pepper To taste.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Make sure your leftover rice is cold and clump-free. Chop the vegetables and set everything aside.

Cooking

  • In a large frying pan or wok, heat the vegetable oil and butter over medium-high heat.
  • Add the onions and carrots. Stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes until they soften.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • Increase the heat to high, and add the cold rice. Break up any clumps and stir-fry for about 5 minutes.
  • Mix in the frozen peas, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook for another couple of minutes.
  • Push the rice mixture to one side of the pan. In the other side, pour the beaten eggs. Scramble the eggs until fully cooked, then mix them into the rice.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot!

Notes

This dish can be served as a main dish or as a side. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds for extra flavor. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, microwave or stir-fry it again.
