Ingredients
  

  • cups 318 g all‑purpose flour
  • 1  tsp baking soda
  • 1  tsp baking powder
  • 1  tsp fine sea salt
  • 1 stick 113 g unsalted butter
  • ¾  cup 202 g creamy peanut butter
  • ½  cup 100 g granulated sugar
  • 1  cup 200 g packed dark brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs + 1 egg yolk
  • 2  tsp vanilla extract
  • 2  cups 340 g semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a large heat-safe bowl, melt butter, then stir in peanut butter until smooth. Add both sugars and mix until combined.
  • Mix in eggs, extra yolk, and vanilla until creamy.
  • Gradually stir in dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Scoop dough into ~3‑Tbsp balls, flatten slightly with palm, and place on prepared sheets.
  • Bake for ~12 minutes, until edges are set and tops look just done.
  • Cool cookies on pans for ~5 minutes; transfer to wire racks to finish cooling.
