Main Ingredients
- ½ cup apple cider fresh pasteurized
- 2 oz tequila blanco about 1/4 cup
- ½ oz orange liqueur or triple sec
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 tbsp maple syrup for the drink
- 1 tbsp maple syrup for dipping the rims
- 1 tbsp sugar for the rims
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon for the rims
- 2 cup ice for the shaker and glasses
- 2 thin apple slices for garnish
Cooking
Prepare the rims. Mix the sugar and cinnamon on one plate and pour the dipping syrup onto another.
Coat the glasses. Dip each rim in the maple syrup, roll it in the cinnamon sugar, and add ice to the glasses.
Shake. Combine the cider, tequila, liqueur, lime juice, and 1 tablespoon maple syrup with ice and shake for 15 seconds until frosty.
Strain and garnish. Strain into the glasses and top each with an apple slice. Serve immediately.
Substitutions: Use reposado tequila, triple sec, or clear apple juice in the same amounts. Replace the tequila and liqueur with 2 ounces of extra cider for a drink without alcohol.
Tips: Do not drive after drinking alcohol. Use pasteurized cider.
Storage: Keep the mixed drink without ice covered in the refrigerator for up to 1 day and shake with ice before serving.
