Ingredients
  

For the crust

  • 1 and ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

For the apple filling

  • 3 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced Firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work best
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Can add extra for serving
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Press this mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to form the crust.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook until the apples are tender.
  • Pour the apple mixture over the crust.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly.
  • Allow to cool and serve. Enjoy!

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a special touch. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to three months.
