  • 2 slices slices of bread (whole grain or sourdough) Choose your preferred type of bread.
  • 1 whole ripe avocado Use a ripe avocado for the best flavor.
  • 100 g feta cheese Crumble over the toast.
  • 1 small tomato, diced Fresh tomatoes add flavor.
  • to taste Olive oil Drizzle over the toast.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season the avocado.
  • to taste Fresh herbs (optional, e.g., parsley or basil) Optional for extra flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Toast the bread slices until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • In a bowl, mash the avocado with a fork.
  • Season the mashed avocado with salt and pepper.
  • Spread the mashed avocado evenly on each toast slice.
  • Crumble the feta cheese over the avocado.
  • Top with the diced tomato and sprinkle with fresh herbs if you like.
  • Drizzle a little olive oil over the toast.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Avocado Feta Toast is best served fresh. If you have leftovers, store the components separately. Keep the toasted bread at room temperature and the mashed avocado covered in the fridge. Add a squeeze of lemon juice to prevent browning of the avocado.
