  • 4 slices sandwich bread Choose your favorite type of bread.
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened For spreading on the bread.
  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled and mashed Use fresh and ripe avocados for best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice Can substitute with lemon juice if necessary.
  • 4 slices cooked bacon Crispy bacon is recommended.
  • to taste Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese slices Feel free to experiment with other cheese types.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  • Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  • On the non-buttered side of two slices, spread the mashed avocado and lime juice mixture, and layer bacon and cheese on top.
  • Place the other two slices of bread on top, buttered side facing out.

Cooking

  • Grill in the skillet until the bread is golden brown and the cheese melts, flipping once.
  • Remove from the skillet, slice, and serve hot.

Notes

Serve hot with crispy fries or fresh salad. Add salsa or sour cream for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Consume within a day or two.
