  • 1 round round of brie cheese Let sit out for about 20 minutes before baking.
  • 1 sheet puff pastry Optional; can also bake without it.
  • 1 dollop raspberry jam Other options include apricot, honey, or spicy jelly.
  • 1 beaten egg for egg wash Provides a golden crust.

Optional Toppings

  • ¼ cup toasted walnuts For added crunch.
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries Can be used instead of nuts.
  • 1 sprinkle fresh herbs To add flavor before serving.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Unwrap the brie and place it on a square of puff pastry.
  • Dollop raspberry jam on top of the brie.
  • Wrap the pastry around the cheese and pinch to seal.
  • Brush the top with beaten egg for a golden crust.

Baking

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place the wrapped brie on a baking sheet and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden and puffed.

Notes

Let baked brie sit out before serving for optimal melting. It can be served with fresh sliced baguette, apple slices, or toasted nuts.
