Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Rinse the salmon fillet under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.
  • In a small bowl, mix together softened butter, lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, grated parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

Baking

  • Place the salmon skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Evenly spread the garlic herb butter mixture over the salmon.
  • Fold the edges of the foil to create a sealed pocket.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the salmon is firm and flakes easily.
  • For a crispy finish, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Notes

For different flavors, try adding fresh herbs like dill or rosemary, or use nutritional yeast for a dairy-free alternative to parmesan.
