Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless, 6 oz each)
  • 1 lb fresh asparagus, ends trimmed
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place each salmon fillet on a piece of aluminum foil.
  • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the salmon and add asparagus on the side.
  • Fold the aluminum foil to create a sealed packet.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Serving

  • Serve with lemon slices for garnish.

Notes

For added flavor, sprinkle fresh herbs like dill or parsley over the salmon before baking. Trim the asparagus to fit well in the foil for even cooking. For a crispy texture, place packets under the broiler for the last few minutes of cooking. Leftovers can be stored in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days.
