  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Optional, but adds nice flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Mash the ripe bananas in a bowl until smooth.
  • Add the cake mix, eggs, oil, and vanilla extract to the bowl.
  • Mix the ingredients gently until combined, being careful not to overmix.
  • Spoon the batter into a greased loaf pan.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes.
  • Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center; it should come out mostly clean.

Cooling

  • Let the banana bread cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
