  • 1 lb ground beef For a flavorful base
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled For added crunch and flavor
  • 1 bag tortilla chips The base for the nachos
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese For rich cheesiness
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese For melty texture
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce For tangy flavor
  • ¼ cup ketchup For sweetness
  • 1 tbsp mustard For a hint of tang
  • ½ cup diced pickles For crunch
  • ½ cup diced red onion For flavor and crunch
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce Optional, for serving
  • 1 large tomato, diced Optional, for serving
  • to taste Sour cream Optional, for serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Stir in the BBQ sauce, ketchup, and mustard. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the beef is fully coated in the sauce. Remove from heat.
  • Cook the bacon until crispy, then crumble it.

Baking

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • On a baking sheet or oven-safe dish, spread a layer of tortilla chips and distribute the cooked ground beef mixture on top.
  • Sprinkle with cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, crumbled bacon, pickles, and red onion.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  • Top with shredded lettuce and diced tomato if using. Serve with sour cream or extra BBQ sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Best eaten within 2-3 days. Can be reheated in the oven or microwave.
