Preparation

  • Cut the flank steak into thin strips.
  • Coat the beef with cornstarch.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a skillet and sauté minced garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  • Add soy sauce, water, and brown sugar to the skillet. Let it boil.
  • Lower the heat to simmer and thicken the sauce.
  • Cook the coated beef in the skillet until it has a nice brown crust.
  • Add fresh broccoli to the skillet and mix it with the sauce.
  • Cook until the broccoli is green and tender but still crisp.
  • Finish by sprinkling green onions on top.
