- 1 –2 lb salmon fillets skin-on
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1½ tsp smoked paprika
- 1½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Preheat your Masterbuilt electric smoker to 225 °F. Soak a handful of wood chips in cold water while heating.
Prepare dry rub by mixing brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
Pat salmon dry with paper towels and remove any pin bones.
Apply rub: Place fillets skin-side down on a baking sheet and coat evenly with the dry rub.
Smoke prep: Lightly oil the smoker rack; fill the water pan. Set fillets skin-side down directly on rack.
