Ingredients
  

For the pizza base

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough

For the sausage gravy

  • 0.5 pound beef breakfast sausage
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter To add to the sausage.

For topping

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large eggs Crack these into the wells made in the cheese.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Grease a baking sheet and press the biscuit dough into a 12-inch circle to form the pizza base.

Cooking the sausage gravy

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the beef breakfast sausage until browned and fully cooked.
  • Add the butter to the skillet with the sausage.
  • Sprinkle in the flour and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly to remove the raw flour taste.
  • Gradually pour in the milk, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens into a creamy gravy. Season with salt and pepper.

Assembly and Baking

  • Spread the sausage gravy evenly over the biscuit dough base.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the gravy.
  • Make 4 wells in the cheese using a spoon.
  • Crack one egg into each well and season with salt and pepper.
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes, until the crust is golden, cheese is melted, and egg whites are set.
  • Let rest for 3 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed hot, can be served with fresh fruit or salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days and reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C).
