Instructions
 

Prepare the Pie Crust

  • In a bowl, mix flour, chilled butter, and salt until crumbly.
  • Gradually add cold water until dough forms. Chill for at least 30 minutes.

Make the Blackberry Filling

  • In a bowl, combine blackberries, sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, cinnamon, and cornstarch.
  • Allow the mixture to sit for about 30 minutes to blend flavors.

Assemble and Bake the Pie

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the chilled pie crust and place it in a pie dish.
  • Fill with blackberry mixture and cover with a second crust or lattice top.
  • Seal the edges, cut slits for steam, and bake for 45 minutes until golden.
