  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Gravy ingredients

  • 1 cup Mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 1 cup Gravy

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into patties.

Cooking

  • In a skillet, cook the patties over medium heat until they are browned on both sides.
  • Remove the patties from the skillet and set them aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté the mushrooms until they are tender.
  • Add beef broth to the skillet and bring it to a simmer.
  • Return the patties to the skillet and cover the pan.
  • Cook the patties until they are cooked through and the gravy thickens.

Serving

  • Serve the patties warm, adding the gravy over them. Accompany with mashed potatoes or rice.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Don't skip the Worcestershire sauce; it adds key depth. Add garlic or herbs for an extra kick. Browning the patties well provides a nice crust.
