  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.75 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is incorporated before adding the next.
  • Gradually blend in the dry ingredients from the first bowl.
  • Stir in any additional oats or butterscotch chips if desired.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
  • Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes
