  • 1.5 cups Brown Sugar, packed
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt Consider omitting if using salted butter.

Mix-Ins

  • 1 cup Butterscotch Chips Can be substituted with chocolate chips.
  • 0.75 cup Toffee Bits You can adjust the amount for a more intense flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth and glossy.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, whisk until creamy and fully combined.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until you have a soft dough; avoid overmixing.

Baking

  • Fold in the butterscotch chips and toffee bits until evenly spread throughout the dough.
  • Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Allow the bars to cool in the pan for at least 20 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze wrapped tightly in plastic wrap and foil for up to three months.
