- 1 lb fresh green beans trimmed
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional: lemon zest or red pepper flakes for garnish
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add green beans and blanch for 2–3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop cooking.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add green beans to the skillet and toss to coat in the butter and garlic. Sauté for another 2–3 minutes until heated through.
Season with salt and pepper. Optionally, garnish with lemon zest or red pepper flakes.
Serve warm.
