Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients

  • 3 cups bread flour Can use plain/all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp instant yeast Also known as rapid rise yeast
  • 1.5 tsp cooking/kosher salt
  • 1.5 cups very warm tap water Must be warm but not hot
  • 2.5 cups Colby cheese, freshly shredded Can substitute with other cheese of choice

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, mix flour, yeast, and salt.
  • Add warm water and stir until combined. Fold in shredded cheese.
  • Cover and let dough rise for 8-12 hours at room temperature.

Magic No-Knead Dough

  • After rising, gently scoop the dough onto a floured surface. Shape into a rough ball.
  • Let it rest for 30 minutes covered with a cloth.

Shape Loaf

  • Place the dough into a well-greased pan or on parchment paper.
  • Sprinkle more cheese on top if desired.

Bake

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Best served warm. Can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days or refrigerated for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze slices.
