Cheesecake Crescent Rolls Casserole

Ingredients
  

For the cheesecake filling

  • 2 packages cream cheese, softened Make sure your cream cheese is completely softened for easier mixing.
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

For the casserole

  • 2 packages crescent roll dough
  • ½ cup powdered sugar For garnishing.
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ¼ cup butter, melted For brushing on top.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Roll out one package of crescent roll dough and press it into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough.
  • Roll out the second package of crescent roll dough and place it on top of the cream cheese mixture.
  • Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with powdered sugar and lemon juice.

Cooking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Cut into squares and sprinkle more powdered sugar on top if desired. Goes well with coffee or milk. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the microwave before serving.
