  • 2 cups elbow macaroni Cooked until al dente
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic Add during beef cooking
  • ½ medium yellow onion, diced
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Use fresh for best results
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling water until al dente, then drain.
  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the diced onion.
  • Add the minced garlic during the last 30 seconds of cooking, then drain excess grease.
  • Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  • Pour in the tomato sauce, heavy whipping cream, and cheddar cheese.
  • Simmer until the cheese melts and the sauce is creamy.
  • Add the drained pasta back to the skillet and toss until coated.
  • Remove from heat and let rest for about 5 minutes to blend flavors.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

Customize the cheese, add vegetables, or make it spicy according to your preference. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
