  • 1 pound Fresh or frozen shrimp Thaw frozen shrimp properly before use.
  • 1 cup Cream of shrimp soup Adds creaminess; mix with other ingredients.
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise Use low-fat for a healthier option.
  • 2 cups Shredded cheese Cheddar, gouda, or pepper jack for flavor.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Enhances the savory flavor.
  • 1 tsp Onion powder For added flavor.
  • 1 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish and flavor.

Topping

  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs For a crunchy topping.
  • ½ cup Grated cheese Mix with breadcrumbs for additional flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Thaw frozen shrimp using the fridge method overnight or soak in cold water for 30 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cooked shrimp, cream of shrimp soup, mayonnaise, shredded cheese, garlic, onion powder, and parsley.

Cooking

  • Spread the shrimp mixture evenly in a greased baking dish.
  • Mix panko breadcrumbs and grated cheese; sprinkle evenly over the shrimp mixture.
  • Bake for about 15 minutes until bubbling and golden brown.
  • Optionally broil for 1-2 minutes for a crispier topping.

Notes

Shrimp casserole can be made ahead; prep the filling and store for up to 24 hours before baking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3 to 4 days.
