  • 2 packages 2 packages (8 oz each) hot dogs, sliced
  • 1 can 1 can (15 oz) chili (with or without beans)
  • 1 can 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup 1/2 cup diced onion (optional) Optional for extra flavor
  • ½ teaspoon 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 spray Cooking spray For greasing the dish

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Spray a baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In the baking dish, layer the sliced hot dogs.
  • Pour the chili over the hot dogs.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and place it over the chili and hot dogs.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  • In a small bowl, mix diced onion, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt; sprinkle over the cheese.

Cooking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the crescent roll is golden brown.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For serving, you can add extra toppings like sliced jalapeños, sour cream, or chopped green onions. Pair it with a fresh salad or some crispy fries. To store leftovers, let the casserole cool completely, then cover it. It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to three days.
