Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 3 pieces ripe bananas The riper, the better.
  • 1 cup sugar Regular granulated sugar.
  • 2 pieces eggs Large eggs.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup melted butter Can substitute with oil but butter gives better flavor.
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour Sifted.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Mix of semi-sweet and dark recommended.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
  • Add sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter to the mashed bananas. Mix until combined.
  • Stir in the flour until just combined; the batter can be lumpy.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into a lined loaf pan.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes.
  • Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick; it should come out mostly clean.
  • Allow the bread to cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

For a moister loaf, use extra ripe bananas and add a dollop of sour cream or yogurt. Storing: Allow to cool completely before wrapping in plastic wrap. Can be stored at room temperature for 1-2 days or in the fridge for longer freshness.
