Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Mash the bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
  • Mix in the melted butter, followed by the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  • Incorporate the baking soda and salt into the mixture.
  • Gradually add the flour and mix just until combined; avoid overmixing.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top.
  • Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
