Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm milk or water Make sure it's warm for better yeast activation.
  • ¼ cup sugar Can substitute with honey or another sweetener.
  • ½ cup butter or margarine Use softened butter for easy mixing.
  • 2 large eggs Use at room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon salt For flavor enhancement.
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast Ensure it's fresh.

For the Cinnamon Filling

  • ¼ cup sugar Adjust according to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon For the signature flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter To spread over the dough.

Optional Add-ins

  • ½ cup raisins Add to dough for sweetness.
  • ½ cup chopped nuts Walnuts or pecans work well.

Instructions
 

Dough Preparation

  • Measure all the ingredients accurately.
  • Layer ingredients in the bread machine: start with warm liquid, then add sugar, butter, eggs, salt, flour, and finally yeast.
  • Select the dough cycle and start the machine.

Cinnamon Filling

  • While the dough is rising, mix softened butter, sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl until well combined.

Forming the Bread

  • Once the dough cycle is complete, turn the dough out onto a floured surface.
  • Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread the cinnamon filling evenly, and roll it tightly into a log.
  • Place the rolled dough in a greased loaf pan for the final rise.
  • Allow it to rise in a warm area until doubled in size.

Baking

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bake for approximately 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
