Ingredients
  

For the nachos

  • 4 cups tortilla chips Can substitute with pita chips or homemade toasted tortillas.
  • 2 cups shredded cheese Cheddar and Monterey Jack are recommended.
  • 1 cup black beans Drained and rinsed.

Toppings

  • ½ cup sliced jalapeños Can use fresh or pickled.
  • ½ cup diced tomatoes Fresh or canned based on availability.
  • ¼ cup sour cream Optional, for serving.
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro For garnish.
  • 1 lime lime juice For an extra zing.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Spread a single layer of tortilla chips on a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Evenly distribute shredded cheese on top of the chips.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven and add your desired toppings (jalapeños, tomatoes, etc.).
  • Drizzle lime juice over the nachos and serve immediately with sour cream and cilantro.

Notes

To avoid soggy nachos, layer toppings thoughtfully and serve immediately. Feel free to mix up the cheese and experiment with toppings for variety.
