- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb large raw shrimp peeled & deveined (21–25 count)
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- ½ medium onion finely chopped
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- ⅓ cup white wine optional
- 2 cups whipping cream
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp sea salt or to taste
- ¼ tsp black pepper or to taste
- ¼ tsp paprika or to taste
- 1 Tbsp parsley chopped (for garnish)
Build sauce:
In the same pan, melt butter and sauté onion until soft and golden. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Pour in wine and reduce by ~75%.
