Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (lean recommended)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1.5 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1.5 cups half and half (or whole milk)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes (optional) Adjust for spice preference
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed.
  • Stir in onion and garlic, cooking for 2–3 minutes until fragrant and softened.
  • Add Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika. Stir well and cook for 1 minute.
  • Melt butter into the mixture, then pour in beef broth. Scrape the bottom of the skillet for extra flavor and simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  • Stir in half and half and Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  • Meanwhile, cook bowtie pasta in salted water according to package directions until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
  • Add the pasta into the creamy beef sauce. Toss gently to coat. If needed, use reserved pasta water to thin the sauce.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley. Pairs well with a side salad or crusty bread. For a richer taste, sprinkle extra Parmesan cheese on top. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat, adding a splash of milk or broth to keep it creamy.
