- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley optional
Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3–4 minutes. Remove shrimp and set aside.
Reduce heat to low; pour in heavy cream, stirring constantly.
Slowly add Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
Return shrimp to the skillet and toss with the sauce.
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and mix well to coat evenly.
Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
