Ingredients
  

Fish

  • 4 pieces Fresh or frozen fillets of cod, tilapia, or whiting Choose fresh, thick fillets about one inch thick

Breading and Seasoning

  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs or regular breadcrumbs For a light, crispy coating
  • 2 tablespoons Paprika Adds flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Enhances the dish
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper To taste
  • 1 large Egg or 1/2 cup buttermilk Helps breading stick

Preparation

  • Thaw frozen fish overnight in the fridge or use cold water for about an hour.
  • Rinse thawed fish under cold water and dry with paper towels.
  • Season fish fillets with salt, pepper, and any additional spices.

Breading

  • Coat fish fillets with egg or buttermilk.
  • Dredge fillets in a mixture of breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place breaded fish fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoid overcrowding.
  • Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through and spraying lightly with oil for extra crispiness.

Notes

Store any leftover fish in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer to retain crispiness. Serve with sides like coleslaw, potato wedges, or mixed green salad and sauces like tartar, cocktail, or remoulade for extra flavor.
