- 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar packed
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers look slightly underbaked.
Let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
