  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Optional for flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Optional for flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder Optional for flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper Optional for spice
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Italian herbs Optional for extra flavor

For the chicken

  • 8 pieces Chicken drumsticks Pat them dry for crispiness.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Use just enough for a thin coating.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with a paper towel.
  • In a bowl, mix together salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, and Italian herbs.
  • Rub olive oil over the drumsticks and coat them evenly with the seasoning mix.

Cooking

  • Place the drumsticks on a rack over a baking tray (or directly on the tray if you don't have a rack).
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 45 minutes until crispy and golden brown, flipping halfway if not using a rack.
  • Ensure juices run clear and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Serving

  • Let the drumsticks cool for a few minutes before serving to prevent burns.

Notes

For an extra crunch, sprinkle a bit of baking powder on the skin before seasoning. Marinate overnight for added flavor. Avoid crowding the pan for the best results.
