  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For brushing the calzones
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken Use leftovers or rotisserie chicken for convenience
  • ½ cup Alfredo sauce Store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese For melting and flavor

For the Dough

  • 1 package calzone dough Store-bought or homemade

Preparation

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and oregano until well combined.
  • Lay out calzone dough on a floured surface and cut it into circles.
  • Place a generous spoonful of the chicken mixture onto one half of each circle.
  • Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and press the edges to seal.
  • Brush the calzones with olive oil to enhance crispiness.

Cooking

  • Cook in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

Notes

For best results, make sure to seal the edges of the calzones well to prevent any filling from leaking out during cooking. You can add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms, or swap the chicken for cooked sausage or ground beef. Brush the tops with more olive oil for extra crispiness.
