Ingredients
  

For the coating

  • 2 units eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • ½ teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 4 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

For frying

  • Chicken pieces (quantity as desired)
  • Oil for frying

Preparation

  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.
  • In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the flour, garlic salt, black pepper, poultry seasoning, and paprika. Shake the bag to mix everything together.
  • Place the chicken pieces into the flour mixture bag. Seal the bag and shake it until each piece is coated with flour.
  • Dip the coated chicken pieces into the egg mixture, then return them to the flour mixture for a second coating.
  • Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 365°F (185°C).

Cooking

  • Fry the chicken pieces in the hot oil until they are golden brown on all sides.
  • Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover the skillet, and cook for an additional 30 minutes to make sure the chicken is cooked through.
  • Drain the fried chicken on paper towels before serving.

Notes

Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after frying to keep it crispy. Use a thermometer to check the oil temperature to prevent soggy chicken. Consider marinating the chicken beforehand for added flavor.
