Ingredients
  

Pastry and Filling

  • 2 sheets sheets of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • Ham slices (quantity as desired) Adjust based on personal preference

For the Egg Wash

  • 1 whole egg For egg wash

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface and cut them into squares or rectangles.
  • Place a layer of ham on half of the pastry pieces.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the ham.
  • Cover with another pastry piece and seal the edges with a fork.
  • Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Baking

  • Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These stacks are best served warm. Enjoy them alone or with a dipping sauce like mustard or ranch. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. For reheating, place them in the oven for a few minutes.
