Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup long grain white rice uncooked
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can 10.5 oz water or chicken broth (use soup can to measure)
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Lightly grease the crockpot insert.
  • Spread the uncooked rice evenly on the bottom of the crockpot.
  • In a bowl, whisk together cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, and water or broth until smooth.
  • Pour the soup mixture over the rice and gently stir.
  • Place chicken breasts on top of the rice mixture.
  • Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix evenly over the top.
  • Cover with the lid and do not lift it during cooking ("no peek").
  • Cook on low for 6 hours, or until chicken is cooked through and rice is tender.
  • Optional: Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
