  • 1.5 pounds ground beef, cooked and drained
  • 4 large potatoes, sliced Ensure the potatoes are sliced thinly for even cooking.
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 large bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cups shredded provolone cheese Feel free to mix different cheeses for richer flavor.
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • In a crockpot, layer half of the sliced potatoes at the bottom.
  • Layer half of the ground beef, onion, and bell pepper on top.
  • Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and half of the cheese.
  • Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  • Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the top.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or until the potatoes are tender.
  • Before serving, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and let it melt.

Notes

Serve hot with a simple side salad or steamed vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the microwave or oven.
