Sauce Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons sesame paste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chili oil Add more for increased spiciness.
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Mix sesame paste, soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili oil, dark soy sauce, sugar, garlic, and ginger in a bowl until smooth to create the sauce.

Cooking the Noodles

  • Cook Chinese wheat noodles according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and rinse with cold water to prevent mushiness.

Combining the Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, mix the cooked noodles with the prepared sauce until well coated. Optionally, add ground pork or beef for protein. Top with green onions and crushed peanuts before serving.

Notes

Adjust the spice according to preference by varying the amount of chili oil or Sichuan peppercorns. Choose fresh noodles for the best texture.
