  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup warm water Make sure the water is warm, not hot, to avoid killing the yeast.
  • 1 teaspoon salt

For the Filling

  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 8 oz sausage
  • 8 oz pepperoni
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Preparing the Dough

  • In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add flour and salt. Gradually add the yeast mixture and mix until a dough forms. Knead for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Preparing the Filling

  • In a skillet, cook the hamburger and sausage over medium heat until browned. Add the pepperoni and Italian seasoning, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Assembling the Pie

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the dough and place it in a greased pie dish.
  • Layer the meat mixture and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Cover with another layer of rolled-out dough and seal the edges.

Baking the Pie

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve this pie hot, fresh from the oven. It pairs well with a green salad or favorite dipping sauces like marinara or ranch. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze individual slices wrapped in plastic and foil.
