Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup hoisin sauce optional for extra flavor
  • 3 –4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch optional, for thickening
  • ¼ cup water to mix with cornstarch
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Place chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, hoisin (if using), and minced garlic.
  • Pour sauce over the chicken.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, or until chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  • Optional: Remove chicken and set aside. Mix cornstarch with water, stir into the sauce, and cook on high for 10–15 minutes until thickened.
  • Return chicken to sauce or serve with sauce spooned over the top. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
