- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- ½ cup honey
- ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- ¼ cup ketchup
- ¼ cup hoisin sauce optional for extra flavor
- 3 –4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch optional, for thickening
- ¼ cup water to mix with cornstarch
- Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish optional
Place chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker.
In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, hoisin (if using), and minced garlic.
Pour sauce over the chicken.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, or until chicken is fully cooked and tender.
Optional: Remove chicken and set aside. Mix cornstarch with water, stir into the sauce, and cook on high for 10–15 minutes until thickened.
Return chicken to sauce or serve with sauce spooned over the top. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
