- 3 ripe bananas mashed
- ⅓ cup melted butter
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon optional
- ¾ cup chocolate chips plus extra for topping if desired
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Stir in melted butter.
Add sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla. Mix until combined.
Sprinkle in flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using). Stir until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top if desired.
Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
