  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika For smoky flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper Adjust according to heat preference.

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, mix Cajun seasoning: 1 tablespoon smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced chicken breast and toss it in the Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.
  • Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes until it is browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add 2 cups of diced tomatoes and let them cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  • Add 3 cups of chicken broth, then bring it to a simmer.
  • Introduce 12 ounces of pasta to the broth and cook according to package instructions, usually around 8-10 minutes.
  • While the pasta cooks, incorporate 1/2 cup of heavy cream and the cooked chicken back into the skillet.
  • Allow everything to simmer together for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the pasta perfectly.

Serving

  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Feel free to adjust spice levels by using less cayenne or substituting with milder spices. Customize with vegetables or different proteins.
