Ingredients

Filling Ingredients

  • 450 g ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix Follow package instructions for seasoning.
  • 400 g cooked white rice Use leftover rice or freshly cooked.
  • 240 ml sour cream Can substitute with Greek yogurt.
  • 240 ml nacho cheese sauce Use your favorite brand for best flavor.
  • 110 g shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to use other cheeses.
  • 110 g shredded mozzarella cheese Pair with other melting cheeses if desired.
  • 15 ml chipotle sauce Adjust based on preferred spice level.
  • 4 large flour tortillas Warm tortillas to avoid cracking.
  • 30 g unsalted butter or neutral oil For grilling the burritos.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart until fully browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the taco seasoning according to package instructions and mix well.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cooked white rice with sour cream and mix thoroughly until the rice is coated evenly.
  • Heat flour tortillas in a dry skillet for 30 seconds on each side, or microwave for 10 seconds until pliable.
  • Arrange each tortilla on a flat surface. Evenly spoon the rice mixture, seasoned beef, nacho cheese sauce, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and a drizzle of chipotle sauce into the center of each.
  • Fold in the sides of each tortilla and roll tightly from the bottom up to enclose the fillings completely.

Grilling

  • Melt butter or heat oil in the skillet over medium heat.
  • Place the burritos seam-side down and grill for 2–3 minutes per side until the tortillas are golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.

Notes

Serve hot with extra nacho cheese or salsa on the side. Consider storing any leftovers tightly wrapped for up to 3 days in the fridge or freeze for later use.
