  • Add the Eggs: Using a slotted spoon, gently lower eggs into the boiling water. Reduce heat slightly to maintain a strong simmer.
  • Cook the Eggs: Cook eggs for exactly 11–12 minutes, depending on desired doneness.
  • Prepare Ice Bath: While eggs are cooking, fill a large bowl with ice and water.
  • Shock the Eggs: Immediately transfer the cooked eggs into the ice bath. Let them sit for at least 5–10 minutes to stop the cooking and make peeling easier.
